^Lot 533 Colt Lightning .22 Cal SN: 40872

Vintage slide-action repeating rifle chambered in .22 Short and Long, circa 1899. Features a 23 3/16" octagonal barrel, blade front sight, dual folding leaf rear sight, 2/3 length tube magazine, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur, smooth wood slide handle and straight grip shoulder stock with serrated metal buttplate. Rifle exhibits a dark grey patina with light pitting throughout. Missing the dust cover, a small screw from the right side of the frame and possibly more. Action needs work as the lifter will not drop on it's own, bore is fair and wood stocks are good showing worn checkering on the slide handle & small blemishes throughout.
