^Lot 363 Arisaka Type 38 Carbine 6.5mm SN: 106803

Japanese military bolt action service rifle chambered in 6.5mm Arisaka. Imported by C.A.I. of St. Albans, V.T. with import marks on the underside of the barrel. Features a blued refinish 19" barrel, shrouded blade front sight, adjustable elevation rear sight, straight bolt handle, bayonet lug, 5 round internal box magazine with removable floorplate, Koishikawa Arsenal marking on the receiver, sling swivels, smooth wood handguard and full-length semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with metal buttplate. The mum has been completely defaced, and the only two serial numbers observed(on the receiver & bolt handle) are non-matching. Rifle exhibits approximately 60% if it's blued refinish showing light muzzle wear, moderate handling wear, pitting on the bolt release, dried oil on the receiver & barrel and the bottom metal/floorplate/triggerguard primarily in-the-white. Action is sound, bore is semi-dark with good rifling and wood stocks are good with several blemishes. Condition is good+. ***C&R Firearm*** ***Modern Firearm***
