Marlin Model 1892 takedown lever action rifle, .22 caliber, serial #172887. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 24” octagon barrel. The barrel retains the majority of its thinning blued finish withhigh point wear, sharp edges and some loss of finish at the muzzle. The full-length magazine is in the white and appears to be a replacement. The receiver shows significant amounts of original blued finishwith the remainder going to plum patina. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition showing wear and small compressions. The butt stock ends with a Marlin marked hard rubber butt plate. The bore is fair, theaction crisp and markings are sharp on this nice, old Marlin. (Antique) Est.: $200-$400.
