Early 18th century flintlock pistol possibly French of high quality with internal frizzen spring. No markings or proofs with early flatlock and odd butt cap shape. Measures 17 ½” overall with an 11” barrel of .45 calibersmoothbore. Also made without side plate. As found and uncleaned condition with old period ramrod. Small losses to wood around butt cap stirrups. The buttstock is about good for its age. We date this pistol at 1710-1735.(Antique) Est.: $900-$1800
