^Lot 1050 Four-Digit Winchester M.1873 LA Rifle

Four-Digit Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, #2304, .44 cal., 24-1/4'' barrel, originally with blue finish, straight walnut stock and forend decorated with small to medium size brass tacks, steel buttplate, thumbprint dustcover, upper tang marked Model 1873; serial number is located on the lower tang behind lever latch. Mfg'd 1874. Condition is good. Metal surfaces with a light gray patina and scattered reddish/brown oxidation. Dustcover appears to have been cleaned. Stock and forend have been sanded with an additional coat of old varnish. Metal surfaces with some impressions and fine corrosion, the most noticeable being to the lever. Left side of wrist with approx. 1/2'' hairline crack. Action is good, bore is dark. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (Antique)
