U.S. Model 1890 Trapdoor Carbine, by Springfield, #210157, .45-70 cal., 22'' barrel, blue finish, walnut stock with ''H'' mark beneath triggerguard tang, with saddle bar; front band with sight protecting scabbard guide. These Carbines were updated to 1890 specifications and used in limited numbers during the Spanish-American War. Condition is very good, as arsenal modified, retaining approx. 60% toning blue finish. Breechblock has been colored dark. Stock with minor fissures near saddlering bar and repair to left side of upper tang. Action is good, bore is very good. Est.: $800-$1,200. (Antique)
