Lot 692 Handmade blackware pitcher from New Mexico or southwest
area circa 1900-1940. Round bottom (will not stand) for fetching water. Nicely incised carved in florals. Measures 12” from end to end. No glaze and no signature. Not a tourist piece. This was made for native use. Very good to almost fine condition. No chips. Sun fading is slight. Along with a large painted Indian pot measuring approximately 13 ¼” in height. Shows red glaze with white painted figural. 50-100 years old. Area of origin southwest to Northern Mexico. Est.: $150-$300
