The included John Kopec letter states that this revolver was within a group of seven revolvers stolen from Co. C, 8th Cavalry on June 19, 1876. According to the included Springfield Research Service letter, "evidence pointed to a Sergt. Richard Graham, who deserted shortly before the loss was discovered, as the probable thief." Consecutively numbered with the next lot.
