Interesting Bolo with Sheath Attributed to a Philippine Outlaw
27 3/8" OAL, 21 1/4" single edged blade, copper guard, dog head carved grip with silver tack accents, and a wood sheath. A tag attached to the sheath attributes the bolo to a Philippine outlaw named Juan Caballo who reportedly was active on Alabat Island (off the east coast of Luzon) and scored 25 kills with this weapon before being captured by Philippine Scouts in 1905.
