1892 Winchester Saddle Ring carbine, 44 W.C.F. cal., serial #794830. The carbine is in good condition with a 20” blued barrel with standard post front and folding tangent rear sight. The barrel and magazine show a dark patina with traceblue in the protected areas. The receiver has turned to a dark brown patina with moderate pin prick pitting noted, particularly on the right side and the saddle ring present. The smooth gumwood stocks are in overall good condition withmoderate surface mars, compressions and an old coat of lacquer added during the period of use. The butt stock shows some shrinkage, mars around the smooth metal crescent butt plate and is slightly proud at the toe. The bore is good, theaction crisp and markings sharp. Est.: $600-$1,200. (C+R)
