Japanese Type 44 Arisaka carbine in 6.5mm with nickel plate and ornately pearl inlaid with belly of stock reading “Masan, Korea, 1951-52”. Obviously a G.I. had a trophy decorated by Korean artisans before bringing back home. The nickelshows some erosion and rust. The stocks are near fine as black lacquered with almost all inlay. The work is very good and would be prohibitively expensive today. (C&R) Est.: $750-$1500
