U.S. percussion rifle with leather sling by Colt, 1863 dated lockplate, .58 caliber, 40” barrel, full length wood stock, iron ramrod, in overall good condition showing a darkened grey patina to metal surfaces with scattered spotting of erosionand pinprick pitting, crisp action, visible markings including what appears to be a rack #24 stamped on the top of the barrel behind the rear sight and fair to good wood stock with a large old compression at the bottom of the butt stock anddark oil staining at the butt plate and behind the lockplate.
