Antique Specimen Chest circa 1879. The chest is constructed of hardwood with ornamental brass hardware. The dimensions of the chest are 15” high by 24” across and 17 ½” deep. Upon opening the chest, the interior appears to be a teak-likehard wood which features compartments and a trapdoor bottom. There are extra partition pieces and the size and number of compartments can be manipulated. The top features wooden rails used to hold items as well. The exterior has awonderful, old appearance with the brass taking on a great patina. An interesting conversation piece. Est.: $300-$500.
