Blued, bolt-action German military rifle with a "243" stamp (made at Mauser AG Borsigwalde), a 1940 breech date, electro-pencilled matching serial numbers, later leather sling, TG Knox import marks and wood stock. Bluing on barrel is good. On the front barrel band it is covering pitting. The receiver and bolt shroud are a little rough and the bottom metal/floorplate has dings and scratches. The butt plate is pristine with a matte finish. The bore is shiny with sharp rifling. Action works well. Wood is stripped and in good condition. Condition is very good to excellent. *Modern Firearm*
