German Model 1888 Commission Bolt Action Carbine, by V.C. Schilling (1890), #2615C, 8mm, 18'' barrel, blue and bright finish, walnut full-length stock, with matching numbered bolt, and chamber area additionally marked with a small letter ''s/318''. Condition is about fine. Barrel retains approx. 50% thinning and toning blue; receiver with some carbon spotting. Stock has been nicely re-done. Trigger assembly shows frosting beneath the blue. Front sight is mismatched and with regimental markings. Action and bore are good. Est.: $450-$650. (Antique)
