Winchester Second Model thumbprint dustcover 1873 lever action rifle, .44 W.C.F. caliber, 24” octagon barrel, S/N 37294, blued finish, wood stocks in overall very good to near fine condition displaying the majority of its original blue finish on the barrel, considerable blue on the loading tube and approximately 35% original blue on the receiver. The action is crisp, the markings are sharp including British proofs on the barrel and receiver at breech; the bore is fine and the wood stocks are very good with some old scattered mars and dings from storage.
