**Custom engraved Colt Model 1903 Pocket semi-automatic pistol, .32 Rimless caliber, 3.75” barrel, S/N 489062, custom blued finish, iridescent pearl grips and in overall excellent condition as customized with a fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and extensive finely accomplished engraving by noted firearms artist Jim Downing; fine thick pearls. Factory letter included and stating: .32 caliber. 3.75” barrel. Blue finish. Checkered wood grips. Shipped to: Shapleigh Hardware Co., St. Louis, MO. Date of Shipment: January 3, 1929. 22 guns in shipment. A real exhibition piece and photographed in Downing’s book of works entitled “The Gun Engraver: Jim Downing”.
