Lot 606 Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Cal:.45ACP SN:214399

Blued double-action 6-shot revolver with a 5-1/2" barrel, fixed sights, early style cylinder latch, lanyard loop and smooth wood grips. Made in 1919. Has the later cylinder not requiring the half-moon clips. "No. 71 440" is also stamped on the butt. Metal finish is not polished and has non-glare machining marks with an "S19" below an eagles head as well as the rampant colt. Stamped "United States Property" on bottom of barrel. There is some fading to the front and back straps and light edge wear with an almost imperceptible drag line. Bore is great with shiny lands and dull grooves on the strong rifling. Chambers are immaculate. Grips have a few small dings and rubs and some small nicks on the bottom edges. Action is faultless with solid lock-up. Condition is excellent. *Modern Firearm*
