English Single Shot Fowler, by John Blisset, #2521, 8 bore, 34'' part-round banded browned barrel, scroll engraved lockplate, hammer and triggerguard; checkered English walnut stock with silver escutcheon to left side marked ''JB''. Ebony ramrod is retained. Breech plug features two gold bands. Top of barrel marked ''John Blisset, 321 Holborn, London''. Condition is fine. Finish to barrels has thinned back to 40% of original; sideplate has toned a silvery gray. Stock with dings and minor losses; checkering may have been re-traced at one point. Good action and bore.
