Colt Model 1917 U.S. Army Double Action Revolver, #242235 (crane), #87403 (butt), .45 ACP cal., 5-1/2'' barrel, blue finish, walnut grips, with lanyard loop in butt, and ''(eaglehead)/S20'' inspector's mark above cylinder latch. Condition is near excellent retaining approx. 92% blue, with thinning to sideplate and right side of frame. Light thinning and toning to front and backstrap. Grips show light marks from handling with small fissure emanating from butt of left panel. Action is good with dried military preservative inside; bore is bright. Est.: $750-$1,000. (C&R/PPT)
