^Lot 132 WWII U.S. M1 Garand, by Winchester

WWII U.S. M1 Garand, by Winchester, #2515056, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel, parkerized finish, Winchester cartouched walnut stock, and 1942 dated leather sling. Original lock bar sights are retained. Internal parts all appear to be of Winchester mfg. as does buttplate, wide-earred front sight, op rod, barrel, triggerguard, safety etc. Rifle shows every indication of being a WWII bring-back being originally mfg'd in Fall 1944. Condition is very good retaining approx. 90% thinning original finish. Faint ''WRA/GHD'' cartouche to left side, with light ''FA'' cartouche to right side. Stock with scuffs, light dings, and oil darkening. Good action, fine bore. Est.: $3,000-$5,000. (C&R)
