U.S. Model 1841 ''Mississippi'' Percussion Rifle, by Robbins, Kendall & Lawrence, Windsor, VT (1846), .54 cal., 33'' barrel with brass bands, triggerguard and patchbox; lightly cartouched walnut stock, with brass-tipped bugle-headed ramrod. Lockplate pre-dates the Mexican War of 1847. Condition is very good. White barrel shows light toning with erosion near nipple bolster and to upper tang area. Stock with light scuffs and minor discoloration near patchbox. Good functioning action, with possible repair beneath hammer adjacent to bolster. Action is good, bore is fair. Est.: $1,200-$1,800.
