French Model 1822 Percussion Conversion Pistol, by Charleville, approx. .70 cal., 7-3/4'' barrel, brass band, sideplate, triggerguard and butt cap. This example features ball-shaped nipple bolster integral with breech area of barrel, with filled radial cutout to sideplate. Condition is fair to good retaining little original finish, replaced by heavy patination to iron parts. Hammer may be a later replacement. Stock with moderate oil staining, scuffs and scratches. Lock functions as designed. Clear markings to left side of stock above trigger. No ramrod. Est.: $350-$500. (Antique)
