Imperial German/Prussian Officer's Sword, 41'' overall, 34'' double fuller blade, grip is of double wrapped skate, with Phrygian helmet pattern pommel, Imperial eagle at base of guard, with Kaiser Wilhelm II crest in center breast, additional Wilhelm II applied brass cypher to obverse grip handle, with Empress Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Hollstein royal cypher to top of pommel. Top of guard is marked ''F. Bannerman''. Nickel-plated double ring scabbard is 35'' long from throat to end of drag. Condition is very good to fine with all the grip and wire wrap present, although some wire slightly loose. Blade shows very minor carbon spotting. Leather washer is intact but somewhat dry. Nickel-plated scabbard with approx. 90% original toning nickel with losses and corrosion at highpoints and at tip of drag; scabbard with minor light dings. Est.: $350-$500.
