Eagle for Model 1858 Hardee Hat, bullion and sequins embroidered on a black baize material, measuring approx. 2-1/2''x3'' and tapering narrower near arrows and olive branch. Authenticated by various sources. Also included is a vry minty newee old stock Civil War era Hardee hat hatband. Condition is excellent with very slight patination to bullion, and two small moth nips on either side of eagle's talon; back side with multiple moth nips, but detracts little. A beautiful and difficult to obtain Civil War insignia. Hatband is minty. From the collection of Col. Evan Murdock. Est.: $500-$750/lot.
