Balance was superb, ergonomics were the best yet built into a pump-action field gun, action smoothness was excellent, and reliability was unquestioned. Partially based on the genius inherent to John Browning’s Model 1897 exposed- hammer pump-action shotgun, the Model 12 has a more modern and practical internal hammer and several other improvements by designer T.C. Johnson. Loaded through the action’s bottom and fed from a tubular magazine, Model 12s hold six rounds and can be fired quickly. Lacking a trigger disconnector, it can be shot rapid-fire by simply holding down the trigger and working the pump as fast as possible. This fact—and all its other virtues—endeared the Model 12 to fighting men. The U.S. Army put some 20,000 M12 Trench Guns to work in World War I. The stock is accented with engraving on the metal. The stock has very light handling marks, and GUN APPEARS NOT USE D...MINT CONDITION !!! The stock has beautiful grain ... heavy hex barrel and fine engraving throughout... The left side of the barrel is marked “26679 / PEDERSOLI / BLACK POWDER ONLY / MADE IN ITALY / CAL. 54” Barrel is 32" long. This rifle retains 100% of its ORIGINAL metal finish. The Screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in mint condition. Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer cocks back, the set trigger “sets” and the front trigger drops the hammer as it should. This is an excellently made Italian Black Powder rifle. Davide Pedersoli is known for accuracy in creating historical firearms that are period correct. PORTUGESE MAUSER MODEL 1904 8 X 57 CAL MILITARY .. THIS GUN IS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITRION - BLUING IS 100% AND WOOD SHOWS HARDLY ANY WEAR.. HAS STAMP ON RIGHT SIDE OF STOCK ACTION IS SMOOTH AND FIRING IS POSITIVE - ALL APPEARS ORIGINAL.. The Portuguese Model 1904 Model 1939 Mauser-Vergueiro rifle started out as the Portuguese Model 1904 Mauser-Vergueiro cal 6.5 mm rifle that was developed by Verguerio, a Portuguese Officer. During the late 1930's Portugal adopted the Model 937-A Mauser rifle chambered in the 8mm Mauser cartridge. Portugal then converted most of the stocks of the Model 1904 rifle by shortening the barrel and fore-end, modifying the front sights, and reboring and rechambering the rifle to shoot the 8x57mm (8mm Mauser) cartridge. The 1903/39 bolt is a true oddity to be found in a Mauser rifle as it is a Mannlicher type bolt and not a typical 98 style bolt. Some of the features of the bolt are dual-opposed forward locking lugs, a separate bolt head, and no bolt sleeve.

FINNISH MOSIN NAGANT MODEL 91 by VKT PRE 1942 Finnish Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant Rifle built circa 1940 at Tikkakoski. This rifle is a 1930 variant of the original Model 1891. BARREL IS 30.5" LONG AND CHAMBERED IN 7.62 X 54R When Finland achieved independence from Russia in late 1917, over 190,000 Model 1891 infantry rifles were already stockpiled in the ex-Russian military depots within Finland. As a result, the rifle was adopted as the standard Finnish Army weapon, and surplus Mosin–Nagants were purchased from other European nations which had captured them during World War I. These rifles were overhauled to meet Finnish Army standards and designated the M/91. Later, starting in 1940, Tikkakoski and VKT began production of new M/91 rifles. VKT ceased in 1942.. The overall condition is very good. Armory refinished. The action is excellent. The bore is in good shape with good rifling. The numbers on the receiver and barrel match - Solid stock. GREAT CONDITION THROUGHOUT ON THIS HISTORIC FIREARM.. RESERVE IS SET AT A LOW $700

These rifles would eventually be manufactured at factories in England, India, Australia, and even a few in the United States. Max began comprehensive mechanization of the production in 1939 but this quickly came to an end with the outbreak of World War ll. it had been intended for both Max’s sons Rolf and Arndt Kriegeskorte – to take over the helm, with Rolf as the technical engineer and Arndt as the commercial director. The war put paid to these plans, as Arndt was killed in 1944 and Rolf was severely wounded. Max Kriegeskorte himself died in June 1945. The business continued at the end of the war in the hands of Rolf and his mother, Emma Kriegeskorte. There were considerable problems because the production of weapons and ammunition was forbidden by the Allies. In 1947 Krico was given permission to make slaughter firearms and this was followed in 1949 by permission to make starting pistols. It was not until 1950 that the company was allowed to make air rifles and the following year they were granted the approval for small caliber rifles. The production of hunting rifles started in 1954 with Model 400 for .22 Hornet and 222 Rem. calibers. Following this Krico was kept busy converting former military Mausers to sporting and hunting use. Since the year 2006 the Kriegeskorte GmbH is specializing in export, import and storage of hunting and sporting weapons.
